From 200 Naira to Captain: The Incredible Journey of Mohammed Abubakar 🇳🇬✈️

Mohammed Abubakar's story is one of grit, patience, and unwavering ambition. In a world where dreams often feel out of reach, he began his aviation journey in Nigeria earning just 200 Naira a day as an aircraft cleaner at Kabo Air. Denied admission to Kaduna Polytechnic, he refused to let that setback define him. Instead, he stepped into the aviation world from the ground up—literally.

Over the years, Mohammed climbed the ladder through pure determination. He worked as ground staff, served as cabin crew, and learned the ins and outs of the industry firsthand. His passion for flight never faded, and with the support of his employer, he trained in Canada and earned his commercial pilot license.

After 24 years of perseverance, Mohammed Abubakar proudly earned his fourth stripe—Captain—at Azman Air. His journey from sweeping airplane cabins to commanding the cockpit is nothing short of inspiring. He’s now not just flying aircraft, but also soaring as a symbol of what’s possible when you never give up.
